How the AI price works →

Pricing

Every price comes from our published price list. Our price promise sets out what your price covers.

How much does junk removal cost?

One call-out and labour charge for your county (€100 in Dublin, more in the surrounding counties), plus a fixed price for each item on our price list. For example, a mattress is €30 and a 3-seater sofa is €35. VAT is included.

What does the call-out and labour charge cover?

The van and two loaders, who carry everything out from anywhere in the property, load the van and sweep up. It is charged once per collection and depends on your county. The price list shows the charge for each county.

Is the price fixed?

Yes. This price covers the items listed. If there are extra or different items on arrival, we'll confirm any price change with you before collecting. See our price promise.

What if I decide to keep something on the day?

The price stays the same. Your price is for the collection you booked, so we don't refund items you keep or items that aren't there on the day. Check your list before you pay, and tap Something missing? Edit items to change it. If your plans change, cancel free more than 24 hours before and book again with the new list.

Are there any extra charges?

No. Your price includes VAT, two loaders, carrying from anywhere in the property, and disposal. It only changes if there are extra or different items on the day and you agree to the new price.

The AI and your photos

Our AI assistant identifies the items. It never sets the price. How it works explains every step.

How does the AI price work?

Our AI assistant identifies what's in your photos. Our published price list sets the price. A person checks anything big or unusual. How it works explains each step.

What if the AI gets something wrong?

You see every item before you book. Tap Something missing? Edit items to add, remove or change items, or describe anything else for the assistant to match. Your price is then worked out again from the price list. You can email hello@junkireland.com to ask a person about your price.

When does a person check my price?

When the job is very large, is for a business, includes something that isn't on our list, or the photos or description aren't clear enough. We email you the confirmed price, as soon as possible during business hours. You can also ask a person to look at any price before you book.

What happens to my photos?

We remove location data from them. The AI never sees your name or contact details, and Anthropic, which provides the AI model, doesn't use your photos to train its models. We keep photos to deliver your collection and improve our pricing. You can object, or ask us to delete them, at any time. See our privacy policy.

Can I get a price without sending photos?

Yes. Type a list of what needs to go, or choose items from our price list in the chat. Your price covers the items you list.

Can I ask the assistant questions?

The assistant prices junk from photos or a list. It can't answer other questions. For anything else, email hello@junkireland.com to reach a person.

Booking, payment and cancellation

You book and pay in the same chat where you get your price. Our cancellation policy has the full rules.

How do I book?

Accept your price in the chat, pick a collection slot, add your details and pay. Your confirmation email arrives straight away.

How do I pay?

In the chat, by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. You pay the full price when you book. Payments are processed by Stripe, and we never see your full card details.

Do I get a receipt?

Yes. Your confirmation email includes a receipt with VAT shown. Business customers can use it for their accounts.

Can I cancel or reschedule?

Yes. Cancel or reschedule free more than 24 hours before your collection, with a full refund. We don't charge cancellation fees. Reply to your confirmation email or email hello@junkireland.com. See our cancellation policy.

Do you work for businesses?

Yes. Business jobs are checked by a person on our team before you pay. See office clearance.

On the day

Two loaders, one van, and no lifting for you. Our terms of service cover the detail.

Do I need to be home?

Someone needs to be home, or access must be agreed in advance. For example, you can leave items outside, or a neighbour, relative or executor can let us in. Reply to your confirmation email to arrange access.

Do I need to carry anything out?

No. Two loaders carry everything out from anywhere in the property, including stairs, attics and gardens. They load the van and sweep up.

What if there's more than I listed?

Extra items are priced from the same list. We confirm any price change with you before collecting, and you can say no. We then take only what you booked.

What should I do before you arrive?

Empty drawers, bags and boxes of anything you want to keep, and disconnect appliances from water, gas and electricity. Tell us in advance about anything that affects access, such as parking restrictions, gates, narrow stairs or no lift.

What we take

We take bulky household, garden and office items. We don't take heavy building waste or hazardous materials.

What do you take?
