The short version
- 1Send a few photos. Open the chat, pick your county and photograph what needs to go. You can also type a list, or choose items from our price list.
- 2See your price. Our AI assistant picks out each item and matches it to our price list. You see every line and one total, VAT included. Most jobs are priced on the spot, and a person checks big or unusual jobs before you can pay.
- 3Book and pay in the chat. Pick a collection slot, add your details and pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Two loaders arrive in your slot, carry everything out and sweep up.

Who does what: the AI, the price list and a person
What the AI does. It looks at all your photos together, as one pile, so a sofa photographed twice is counted once. It lists the items it can see and matches each one to our price list, with a quantity and a rough size. It also notes anything it can't see clearly, anything that isn't on our list, and anything we don't take.
What the AI can't do. It can't set or change a price. The report it sends back has no place for a price. Our own software looks up each item on the published price list and adds the call-out and labour charge for your county. The same items in the same county come to the same price.
What the price list does. Every item on our price list has a fixed price, VAT included. Your price is one call-out and labour charge for your county (€100 in Dublin), which covers two loaders and the van, plus the price of each item. Disposal is included.
What a person does. Before you can pay, a person on our team checks the job when it is very large, is for a business, includes something that isn't on our list, or when the photos or description aren't clear enough. The assistant tells you when your job needs this check. We email you the confirmed price, as soon as possible during business hours.

Check and change your list before you book
Your price card shows every item, how many, and its price, then the total. Read it before you book. You know what is going better than any photo does.
If something is missing, counted wrong or not going, tap Something missing? Edit items. You can:
- add items from our price list
- remove items, or change how many there are
- describe anything else in your own words, for the assistant to match to the price list
Your price is then worked out again from the price list. If you add something we can't match to the list, or the job becomes very large, a person checks it before you book. You can email hello@junkireland.com to ask a person about your price before booking.
If something's different on the day
Extra items are priced from the same published list. You can say no, and we take only what you booked, at the price you paid.
If there's less than you listed, the price stays the same. Your price is for the collection you booked, so settle the list before you pay. If your plans change, cancel free more than 24 hours before and book again with the new list. Our price promise sets this out in full.
How accurate is the AI?
AI can miscount, especially in piles where things hide behind each other. That's why you check the list before you book, why unclear jobs go to a person, and why your price covers only the items listed.
We compare completed jobs with their prices to keep improving how the assistant identifies items. We don't publish an accuracy figure.
Photos that help the assistant get it right:
- a wide shot of everything that's going
- a close-up of each big item, such as a sofa, wardrobe or fridge
- anything hidden: open the shed, the attic, and wardrobe and cupboard doors
- good light, so open the curtains or switch on the light
Rather not send photos?
You don't have to. In the chat, choose to type instead and list what needs to go, such as “two fridges and a double mattress”. Or choose items from our price list and set how many of each.
Your price covers the items you list. If a description is too general to price, such as “a garage full of stuff”, a person checks it before you book.
Your photos and your privacy
We remove location data from your photos. The AI sees your photos, your list and your county. It never sees your name or contact details.
Anthropic, which provides the AI model, doesn't use your photos to train its models. We keep photos and chat details to deliver your collection and to make our pricing more accurate. You can object, or ask us to delete them, at any time. Our privacy policy has the details.
Booking, paying and collection days
- 1Accept your price and pick a collection slot. We collect on weekdays, 10:00–16:00 (Mondays from 11:00; Thursday arrivals up to 16:00), and you can book up to 14 days ahead. We hold your slot for 35 minutes while you finish booking.
- 2Add your details: name, email, mobile number and collection address. The crew uses your mobile number on collection day.
- 3Pay in the chat by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Payments are processed by Stripe, and the pay button shows the amount.
- 4Get your confirmation. Your confirmation email, with a receipt with VAT shown, arrives straight away.
On the day, someone needs to be home, or access must be agreed in advance: for example, items left outside, or a neighbour, relative or executor letting us in. Two loaders carry everything out from anywhere in the property, load the van and sweep up.
Plans change? Cancel or reschedule free more than 24 hours before your collection, with a full refund. We don't charge cancellation fees. See our cancellation policy, or browse all our questions and answers.
