Garden waste removal in Dublin

A complete garden collection price

Four 240-litre bags of garden waste collected in Dublin cost €120 in total. That includes one €100 call-out, two loaders, carrying, disposal and VAT. The €5 bag price is an item charge, not the whole collection price.

For unbagged branches, photograph the whole pile and give its approximate dimensions. Keep soil, stones, rubble and chemicals out. Too much for the brown bin

One afternoon of hedge-cutting can fill the brown bin several times over, and long branches won't go in at all. We collect garden waste across Dublin and the 8 surrounding counties, bagged or loose, from wherever it's piled up.

Two loaders come with the van and do all the carrying: down the garden path, through the side gate, out from behind the shed. If the only way out is through the house, we carry it through and sweep up after.

What we take from gardens

• Hedge trimmings, branches and pruned shrubs
• Grass cuttings and leaves, bagged
• Old decking, fence panels and garden timber
• Garden furniture: tables, chairs, benches and parasols
• Old timber sheds and everything stored in them
• Trampolines, plant pots, trellis and garden ornaments
• Lawn mowers, with the fuel drained
• Christmas trees once the decorations come down

Garden waste prices

In Dublin there is a €100 call-out and labour charge for the van and both loaders, then a set price per item. A 240-litre bag of garden waste is €5, a garden bench €20, a lawn mower €10.50 and a trampoline €75. A 6x4 shed is €110 and a 6x8 shed €175.

Branches and cuttings that aren't bagged are priced as a loose load, by how much of the van they fill: about a quarter of the van is €115. Every price includes VAT and comes from our published price list.

A collection or a skip?

• Soil, stone or paving: a skip, because we don't take them.
• Bulky, lighter garden waste: a collection usually suits better. There's no skip permit to arrange and no driveway space needed, nothing sits outside for a week, and we do the loading.
• The back garden is hard to reach: we carry through side passages and down steps where a skip lorry can't get near.

Photos that price a garden well

Get your price from the garden itself. Step back and photograph the whole pile, then the bags and anything bulky. If a shed is still standing, say so and include a photo of the roof.
