A sofa or mattress collection in Swords
Catalogue totals: a mattress collected on its own costs €130. A three-seater sofa and mattress collected together cost €165. Both totals include the Dublin call-out, two loaders, carrying, disposal and VAT.
Show the full sofa, including separate sections, and count every mattress and bed frame. We carry from inside the property. Check the displayed collection times before relying on a moving deadline; accepting the item list alone does not reserve a time. See mattress collection details.
Clearing out in Swords: what usually goes
Swords has grown fast, and much of it is family housing: Boroimhe, Applewood, Ridgewood and River Valley, alongside the older streets around Main Street and Seatown. Growing families mean steady churn. A cot gets swapped for bunk beds, flat-pack doesn't survive the last move, and the garage fills to the door.
The lines on a typical Swords price follow that pattern: an adult bike at €10, a child's bike at €5, a buggy at €10, a single bed frame at €20, and a trampoline at €75 once the children have outgrown it.
Moving house in Swords
Getting rid of what isn't coming with you before the removal van arrives makes the move lighter and the new place tidier. Price it as soon as you know what's going, then book a slot in the week before you move, so the house is clear for the final clean.
If the moving date shifts, you can reschedule free more than 24 hours before, with no fee. Moving within Swords? The removal company moves what you're keeping, and we take what you're not. For a whole house, see house clearance.
Fingal's options, and where we fit
Fingal County Council doesn't run a bulky waste collection. It points householders to authorised private collectors and to its two recycling centres. The nearer one for Swords is the Estuary Recycling Centre, beside Swords Business Park. It takes household waste only: furniture, carpets and mattresses are charged, and electrical equipment is free.
Fingal's latest published notice, dated 2 November 2026, says its recycling centres remain closed until further notice because of industrial action. Check the council's live page before travelling. When open, self-delivery can suit small amounts you can lift and transport. We collect from inside the house if you need carrying and loading included.
North County Dublin
We cover Swords town, the estates off the Rathbeale Road, Forest Road and Holywell, and Cloghran by the airport. North of the town we collect in Donabate, Portrane, Rush, Lusk, Skerries and Balbriggan, and west around St Margaret's and The Ward. Malahide and Portmarnock have their own page.
