The promise in short
- You pay the price you accepted for the items listed. VAT, two loaders and disposal are included.
- Nothing changes without your agreement. Any price change on the day is confirmed with you before we collect.
- Your price is final once you book. It doesn't go down if a listed item isn't there or you decide to keep it, so check your list before you pay.
- Cancel free more than 24 hours before. You get a full refund, and we don't charge cancellation fees.
This page explains these commitments in plain English. They are part of our terms of service, and they are in addition to your rights under consumer law.
A fixed price for the items listed
Your price comes from our published price list: one call-out and labour charge for your county, plus a fixed price for each item. You see every line before you book, and you can change the list in the chat before you pay.
Your price includes:
- VAT
- two loaders and the van
- carrying from anywhere in the property, including stairs, attics and gardens
- loading, sweeping up, and disposal at authorised facilities
We don't add charges for stairs, carrying or disposal. The amount you pay in the chat is the total on your price card.
No price change without your agreement
Extra items are priced from the same published list. If you agree, we take them and tell you how to pay the difference. If you'd rather not, say no: we take only the items on your booking, at the price you paid.
Your price is final
You know the full cost before we arrive. It never goes up without your agreement.
It doesn't go down either. Your price is for the collection you booked: the van, two loaders and the items on your list. If a listed item isn't there on the day, or you decide to keep it, the price stays the same.
So settle the list before you book. Tap Something missing? Edit items on your price card to add or remove items before you pay. If your plans change after you book, cancel free more than 24 hours before and book again with the new list.
Free cancellation, no cancellation fees
Cancel or reschedule more than 24 hours before your collection and we refund what you paid in full.
If your collection is less than 24 hours away, tell us as soon as you can so we can reach the crew. We may suggest another day, but if you'd rather cancel, you can. We don't charge a cancellation fee.
To cancel or reschedule, reply to your confirmation email or email hello@junkireland.com. Our cancellation policy has the full details, including your 14-day statutory right to cancel.
Secure payment, a receipt and a licensed collector
You pay in the chat by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Payments are processed by Stripe, and we never see your full card details.
Your confirmation email arrives straight away, with a receipt with VAT shown. Business customers can use it for their accounts.
Junk Ireland is a brand of Glass Bag Recycling Ltd (company number 669725), which holds Waste Collection Permit NWCPO-25-13230-01. You can check the permit on the National Waste Collection Permit Office register at nwcpo.ie. Everything we collect goes to authorised facilities, where it is sorted for recycling or disposal. Read more about us.
What the promise doesn't cover
- Materials we don't take. We don't take rubble, concrete, soil, tiles or bricks, or hazardous waste such as paint, chemicals, oil, asbestos and gas cylinders. If they are there on the day, we leave them.
- A job that is very different from what you told us. If we can't collect the job as described, we'll explain why and refund as appropriate. In the rare case that a job is very different from your photos or description and we cannot collect it, we refund what you paid minus the call-out and labour charge, which covers the crew's trip.
- Access on the day. Someone needs to be home, or access must be agreed in advance: for example, items left outside, or a neighbour, relative or executor letting us in. If we can't get to the items, we'll contact you to agree what happens next.
Our terms of service set out what happens on the day in full.
How to raise a problem
If something isn't right, email hello@junkireland.com with your name, collection address and a short description, with photos if they help. A person on our team will reply, usually within a few hours during business hours.
You can also get independent information about your consumer rights from the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission at ccpc.ie. How it works explains how your price is worked out.
