A three-seater sofa collected on its own costs €135 in Dublin, including VAT. That is €35 for the sofa plus one €100 call-out and labour charge. A corner sofa on its own totals €180; an armchair totals €120.

For a typed list, say whether each piece is an armchair, two-seater, three-seater, corner sofa or sofa bed. Count separate pieces and tell us what is staying. Include stairs, a narrow hall or a lift restriction so the collection can be checked before you book. You can type the list without photos.

When the old furniture has to go

• New furniture arriving: book the old suite out before the delivery, so the new one has somewhere to go.

What we collect, and how we get it out

Sofas, corner sofas, sofa beds and armchairs. Beds, wardrobes, chests of drawers and lockers. Dining tables, chairs, bookcases, sideboards and TV units. Flat-pack and broken pieces too.

Two loaders come with the van and do all the lifting: down three flights in an apartment block, out through a narrow hall, round from the back of the garage. We sweep up where each piece stood. If something looks too big for the stairs, mention it when you send photos.

A fitted wardrobe is €115 once it's off the wall. If it's still fixed in place, say so in the chat and a person will check it before you pay.

Furniture prices

A €100 call-out and labour charge in Dublin covers the van and both loaders, once per collection. Each piece then has its own price: €35 for a three-seater sofa, €80 for a corner sofa, €20 for an armchair, €45 for a double wardrobe and €15 for a chest of drawers. A dining table is €20 and chairs are €5 each.

Because the call-out is charged once, extra pieces cost only their item prices. VAT is included, and every item is on the price list.

Do I need to be in? Someone needs to let us in, or access must be agreed in advance. If the pieces are already out in the garden or by the front door, that works too.
