What we take — and what we don’t

We take almost everything from homes, gardens and offices. Heavy building materials and hazardous waste need a specialist.

We take

  • Furniture of every kind — sofas, beds, wardrobes, tables
  • Mattresses and bed frames
  • Fridges, freezers, washing machines, cookers and TVs
  • Garden waste, sheds, trampolines and garden furniture
  • Renovation fixtures — doors, baths, toilets, sinks, flooring
  • Boxes, bags, bikes and general household junk

We don’t take

  • Rubble, concrete, bricks, tiles or soil
  • Asbestos, including asbestos-cement shed roofs
  • Paint, solvents, chemicals and oil
  • Gas cylinders
  • Clinical or other hazardous waste

Not sure? Send a photo — our assistant will tell you, or a person will check.

More about us

Questions

Junk removal, answered

Straight answers on prices, timing and what we take.

How much does junk removal cost in Dublin?

Individual items use published catalogue prices plus one €100 Dublin call-out for the van and two loaders. One sofa collected in Dublin totals €135; a sofa and mattress together total €165, sharing one call-out. For a whole clearance, confirm contents, supported load size and access in chat. Uncertain jobs need staff review. VAT is included. See our price list.

How does the AI price work?

Our AI assistant identifies items and possible whole clearances. Our published price list sets the price. Confirm the contents, supported load size and access for a whole clearance; a person checks uncertain or exceptional jobs. The assistant can't set or change a price, so the same items always cost the same. More on how it works.

What if the assistant misses something or gets it wrong?

You see every item and its price before you book. Type a change in the chat or choose Edit items to add or remove items, change amounts, or describe extras for the assistant to match, and the price updates from the list. Uncertain or exceptional jobs need staff review before payment.

Can the price change on the day?

This price covers the items listed. If there are extra or different items on arrival, we'll confirm any price change with you before collecting. Extras are priced from the same list and you can say no. The price doesn't go down if a listed item isn't there or you decide to keep it, so check your list before you pay. See our price promise.

What happens to my photos?

We remove location data from your photos, and the assistant never sees your name or contact details. Anthropic, which provides the AI model, doesn't train on them. We keep photos to deliver your collection and make our pricing more accurate, and you can object or ask us to delete them at any time. See our privacy policy.

When can you collect?

We collect on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, 14:00–16:00, across Dublin and the 8 surrounding counties: Kildare, Laois, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath and Wicklow. Pick any free slot up to 14 days ahead. The time you pick is when the loaders arrive.

How do I pay, and can I cancel?

You pay in the chat by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, processed securely by Stripe. Your confirmation and receipt arrive by email straight away. Cancel or reschedule more than 24 hours before your collection for a full refund, with no cancellation fees. See our cancellation policy.

Do I need to be home, and do I carry anything?

Someone needs to be home, or access must be agreed in advance: items left outside, or a neighbour, relative or executor letting us in. You don't carry a thing. Two loaders take everything from wherever it is, upstairs rooms, attics, gardens and apartments included, and sweep up after.

What won't you take?

Rubble, concrete, soil, bricks, tiles and stone, and hazardous waste such as asbestos, paint, chemicals, oil and gas cylinders. Renovation fixtures like doors, baths and flooring are fine: see construction waste. Everything we take goes to authorised facilities under our Waste Collection Permit, NWCPO-25-13230-01.

How do I reach a person?

Email hello@junkireland.com to reach a person. A person on our team replies during business hours (Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00). We don't take bookings or enquiries by phone, so everything is in writing and nothing gets lost.

Ready when you are.

Type a list or add photos. Review your price, choose an available time and pay securely in the chat. Our team checks uncertain jobs before you pay.
